Jean Marie Domercant

Jean Marie Pierre Domercant, of Stoughton, formerly of Les Cayes, Haiti, passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on July 24, 1949, in Les Cayes, Haiti, to Emilio Domercant and Varna Estinville. He lived a life marked by love, intelligence, humility, and selflessness, and he will be remembered with deep affection by all who knew him. Jean Marie Pierre grew up in Haiti, where he received his early education, graduated from high school, and went on to earn his accounting degree. He was a man who valued learning and carried himself with dignity and purpose. His education helped shape a life of service, responsibility, and excellence. In Haiti, he worked as a professor of English, history, and literacy, sharing his knowledge with students and encouraging them to pursue their goals. He also worked for several years as a supervisor for TELECO in Port-au-Prince and as an accountant, where he demonstrated a careful mind, strong work ethic, and deep commitment to every responsibility entrusted to him. After coming to the United States, Jean Marie Pierre continued to build a life centered on hard work, dedication, and perseverance. He worked for many years in the hospitality industry at the Four Seasons, where he earned the respect of those around him through his professionalism, reliability, and calm leadership. No matter where life took him, he approached his responsibilities with humility and pride. He understood the value of honest work and set an example of grace, discipline, and determination. Above all else, Jean Marie Pierre cherished his family. His greatest joy was spending time with those he loved, whether gathered for conversation, celebration, or simple companionship. He found meaning in being surrounded by his family and took tremendous pride in the lives and accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. His family will remember his kindness, wisdom, intelligence, and the quiet strength he brought into every room. He was a loving and selfless man whose presence touched many lives in lasting ways.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Claudette Domercant; his children, Dr. Hans Patrick Domercant and his wife, Anny, of Randolph; Stanislas Domercant and his wife, Cherlie, of Stoughton; Fred Stanley Archer and his wife, Francesse Alphonse, of Hyde Park; Claude Pierre Domercant of Middleboro; Catherine Domercant of Middleboro; Varna Coleman of San Antonio, Texas; and Darlindia Thara of Haiti. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Preston, Cameron, Starline, Zachary, Hemsley, Saskia, Dorven, Claudny, Kenniyah, and Durlintz-Neha; his brothers, Ronald Domercant and Miguel Labossiere; his nephews, Jean Harry Vikacey, Richardson, and Sebastian; his nieces, Seygnouse and Varnette; and many extended family members and friends affected by this loss.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Harry, Emile, Jean Robert, Yolette, and Marie Duperval. Family bonds were always important to him, and he carried those connections with him throughout his life. His memory now joins that of those who went before him, and he is reunited in peace with loved ones who have gone on ahead. Those who knew Jean Marie Pierre will remember a man of character, compassion, and devotion. He lived with purpose and left behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and love. His life reflected the values he held dear, and his memory will continue to inspire his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him. Though he is no longer with us, his influence remains in the lives of his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Jean Marie Pierre Domercant will be deeply missed and forever remembered. His life was a gift to those around him, and his legacy of love and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main Street, Randolph, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Saint Mary Church, 211 North Main Street, Randolph, MA. Burial will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery in Randolph.
